Blogger stalkers....

sen·sa·tion·al·ism [sen-sey-shuh-nl-iz-uhm]
–noun

-subject matter, language, or style producing or designed to produce startling or thrilling impressions or to excite and please vulgar taste.

 -I am simply amazed at the attention my blog "Licking Windows and the Deep end of the Pool" has gotten. According to my Blogger stats, I have received more page hits on that one published page, in the last ten days since it was published, than any other in the six moths I've been writing my blog.

It seems that "inquiring minds want to know" and my stats feedback is becoming more and more shocking. For instance, along with charts informing me of the amount of hits per day, it also gives me feedback on who my audience is, the location of the traffic and referring url's. So, I am fully informed as to who exactly is reading and when.

For those inquiring minds, who seem to be fixated on sensationalism, gossip and rumors - I'm done. I said it poolside, and it is as simple as that. I've moved on, as painful as it has been, it had to be done, and I've not spoken a word of details to anyone. I'm not a sensationalistic gossip monger. I've been a victim of it in my past and wish it on no one. I only hope that I've been given the same respect in return, but according to my stats it doesn't seem to be what I had expected. On all levels.

I find the whole experience fascinating. Does that make me a sensationalistic voyeur in my own right?

"Here's look'in at'chu kid!!" ;)

  1. Oh Brenda, I hope I didn't show up as one of the stalkers. I've read your post several times, because I identify with it so much and I have been thinking and praying about what to write in a comment that would encourage you. I think you probably know that, but I wanted to make sure. Taking care of Marc after his stroke, and handling the extra stuff around the house has taken up more time and energy that I'd like to admit, so all I've been able to do is think about what to say to you, but you have not been far from my thoughts. I love your writing, and your honesty. {{huggles}}

  2. Hi Kelly, no worries, this is aimed at someone who lives in the UK who I recently went to Orlando with. She needed to be told to fuck off and stop trying to make things worse than they already are here with my completely fucked up friendships gone wrong.

    I am a big fan of your writings and started my blog after being inspired by yours. It makes me very flattered that you are reading mine. I have insecurities that were born in photojournalism school that still haunt me - long story - and I've had to sign a gag order, so telling it online will be a problem, but let me tell you this, I'm finally getting the courage to write and its because of your guidance!

    So PLEASE - keep stalking me!!!
