 MOM

I took this pic, I think it may have been my first hired gig! I may have been 6 or 7 years old and it was waaay past my bed time Whhoooohoo!! Staying up late & partying with the pros!!  This photo ranks as one of my all time favorite shots of my mom. She loved to have fun and dance and be with friends. She'd love to throw these big house parties and I loved that I got to be a part of them. She's posing for my Salvation Army purchased brownie mid-dance, in the mid seventies, right around the days of Studio 54 and it was pretty much her hay day and she caught the wave.

I can see my brothers big smile in her eyes in this photo - like the photo at my tenth bday where he's standing behind me - that look of adrenaline and innocence mixed with good old fashion fun times. I think this photo pretty much sums up the old saying "Live Everyday Like Its Your Last" and its a good thing she did just that. She would only have another six or so years of good hard dancing/loving and good health left after this photo was taken.

Note to self: respect your innocence, seek out more good old fashioned times with great friends, indulge in a lil' adrenaline rush now and then and live every day like its your last...cause ya just never know - ya know!
